quilty update
Also just finished some more blocks for Rachel's quilt along.
I wanted to start cutting my Plume quilt out BUT! I can't find the pattern! I know the measurements, I don't know the exact number of Jelly Roll strips to cut. Plus my house got really hot today and if I turned on the A/C in April I'd have to take myself out back and beat the hell outta myself because I live in the Chicago area, we savor weather like this in April!
On a school note: I got my application for the state test!! I'll be taking it June 11th at 530pm so if I go MIA, I'm busting my ass studying for the test! Never thought the day would come where I'd be done. SQUEEEEE!!!

more blocks!
And Julie, over at Jaybird Quilts asked how you store your wip's. Well, this is my way! The large containers are under $3 at Walmart and the shoeboxes are about $1 each. I keep all the fabric for the quilt in the box, as well as the pattern. I put a label on the box, start date, and the name of the fabric. I will also put any other things specifically for that quilt in there like thread color if it's specific.
and yes the kona has been found!!! it was in a laundry basket of clean clothes under a blanket. yea, i'm still trying to figure that one out.

big plans!

I'm planning on making this in the 96x96 inch size for my bed. This one will DEFINITELY be sent out to get quilted!
Sketched out a pattern using jelly rolls.
Bought my backing and binding fabric for the pinwheel quilt using this for the backing

and this for the binding

And I want to make Easy As Cake from the Moda Bake Shop. I would LOVE to make this quilt in Plume, I think it would look awesome!
Also decided it's probably best to buy a roll of batting because it doesn't go on sale very often, and because I have so many projects in the works. Going to get my hands on some Plume, Hunky Dory, and probably some of the make life dots.
But I must finish 2 quilts before beginning any other ones. At this rate I may exceed my goal of 10 finishes this year!
